Fall is my favorite time of year...except in San Antonio and then I get all bummed out. We went to the pumpkin patch which was just a big bust. I mean, the boys had a blast-they had the big blow up jumper, a corn maze, a tractor for the kids to climb out and a hay ride and best of all delicious kettle corn. But first of all it was about 85 degrees with hot sun which made it feel even hotter. We were all sweating to death and downing bottles of water. Second of all the "patch" is no where near an actual patch nor is it even close. You go out to a big open field with a bunch of pumpkins thrown in the middle of it which are all now rotten or just days away from being rotten because it is still so hot and we've had such little rain. So, needless to say, we went, we got our pumpkins and we left a hot, sweaty mess!
The boys had a great time carving pumpkins. Brady is doing more and more on his own every year-he's such a big boy now! And Grayson would have nothing to do with the carving last year, but this year he was a little more into it. Him and Pa Pa did his together. Grayson was funny though-he kept looking in at the guts and going Ewwwww! You do it!
Trick or treating was a great success! Brady was Woody this year and Grayson was a turtle. Grayson actually walked around the whole neighborhood this year. Last year he had to be carried after about 5 houses. Then we went home, dumped out all the candy and after sorting through it I let them eat as much as they wanted. I new it was time to call it quits when Grayson looked at me with a mouth full of tootsie roll with smarties stuck in there as well, eyes completely glazed over asking me to open another piece of candy. They both went to bed drunk on candy and sugar!
Grayson said, you want me to put my hand in there?!
Ewwwwww!!!!!
And they're off!
