Kiddos gone wild!

Wooooo! Spring break! Last week was Spring Break. It's so funny how much spring break for me has changed since I've grown up and had kids. I have fond memories of my springs breaks from college. My junior year my friend Sara and I took the train from Ball State in Muncie, IN up to New York City and my senior year me and 5 other girls drove down to Miami's port and went for a week long cruise. Ah good times! So now, 10 years later (holy cow, 10 years???!!!!), this week was spring break and it seemed like the entire city closed up shop and went on vacation. Brady didn't have school for the week, he didn't have a soccer game over the weekend, Grayson didn't have Little Gym and I didn't have my Thursday night meeting for my upcoming retreat. So, I said, heck, let's do it up right, let's do Spring break! Tim still had to work of course, so I planned a different fun activity here in San Antonio for me and the boys to do each day of the week. We started off the week by going to see a play at the Magik Children's theater. We saw "If you give a Pig a Party" by Laura Numeroff. The boys loved it! It was about 45 minutes long and they stayed captivated the entire time. We will definitely be going back! I forgot my camera though, so no pictures from that. Our next outing was to Sea World on Wednesday. Big mistake! Everyone took spring break and went to Sea World! We've been so spoiled with our seasons passes and have been able to go quite a bit in the off season when it is very empty. They just built a new section called the Bay of Play that features the Sesame Street gang and lots of fun rides for the little kids and fun things for the kids to climb. There was also a water park, but we'll try that out another day. So, we just took it slow and did a lot of playing and dolphin watching. It was a great day!

I always want to take the boys picture here, but no one will ever let me. There's always people waiting to pose in front of Shamu and it's such a production to get the boys to both smile at the same time. So, since I was by myself I did it! I should put the series of pictures here-it is quite the gag reel. This is the last picture. Brady put his arm around Grayson and I got a nice smiling pose then came this one-the head lock! Haha!

Not so sure why he is doing this lately, but it is his latest thing to show his tummy to you. Maybe he new it was spring break and he wanted to get crazy! Grayson gone wild! And you gotta love the crooked hat! What a goof!
Picnic lunch with my boys.

This is Brady climbing on the nets at the Bay of Play. I am standing below him in the tot spot with Grayson.

Hey look, there's brother!

Grayson playing in the tot spot.

Brady running down the giant net mountain.

This was a net tunnel that led over to another net. These were like 20 feet off the ground. Brady got half way through and turned around because he was scared. Maybe next time.

Cute little sea otter.

The boys looking at the seals and sea lions. Brady got to feed them this time.

Cute little seal.
Nemo!
And of course we had to end the day with ice cream! Every day now ends with ice cream-hey, I'm pregnant!

And poor Grayson fell asleep on the way to ice cream. Poor fella-no ice cream this time.

Baby's 1st Pictures

I had my first official ultrasound last Friday to date the pregnancy. I was the radiologists last patient for the day, so she wasn't in a hurry, and we got to see lots of the baby. Our little peanut was squirming around all over the place! We were able to see and hear a nice strong heart beat and we got a nice clear view of the femur and the arms and feet and the facial features. It's amazing how teeny tiny the baby still is (about the size of a peach), but how completely formed and how much like a person it looks! The baby squirmed around so much the radiologist had a tough time getting the measurements, but after a while she was finally able to get it to hold still and she dated the pregnancy at 13 weeks 5 days which was 1 week and 2 days further than the dates said. I haven't seen my doctor since the ultrasound, so I'm not sure if they'll change my due date or not, but none the less, I am now 14/15 weeks. My current due date is September 20th, so this baby might actually come a lot closer to Brady's birthday (September 5th) than we thought! Nice birthday present for Brady eh?!

This shot cracks me up! The baby looks like it's kicked back chillin in a hammock! All my chub must be providing a nice comfy cushion! haha!!

Here is a nice profile shot. The head is pointing to the the left and you can see baby's abdomen and I think a little hand poking out.

This one is a little tough to make out, but here you can see baby's face pointing to the right. You can a better view of the eyes, nose and chin and a bit of baby's abdomen.
